The Rabies Vaccination: Is It Really Effective or Just A Money Maker?

They say that the rabies vaccine is 99% effective but chances are, 100% of the pets given the vaccine would never get rabies anyway. So is this claim really true?

Rabies naturally lives within our pets. But it's only when they are starving that the rabies virus takes over and kills the animals. Thus, rabies is a self destroying disease.

Rabies is ultimately an immune problem caused by a lack of food, well, actually nutrition. Considering that the pets eating even commercial pet food are getting some nutrition, would any pet that is eating food on a regular basis ever get rabies in the first place?

In countries like the Philippines, where I live most of the year, there are many stray dogs, all of whom are sick and lacking nutrition. As a result, there is a relatively high rate of rabies in a country like the Philippines. So if you were to give the rabies vaccine to all of the street dogs in the Philippines, would it prevent them from getting rabies? I think not — why? Because the street dogs would still be starving for food.

How effective would the rabies vaccine be on the street dogs considering the underlying problem, which is a lack of wholesome food, is not addressed?

In nature, there is always a balance between prey and predator. When the prey increase in numbers, so do the predators. But when the prey decreases in numbers, the number of predators must also decrease. This is why Mother Nature gave the hunters the rabies virus. When healthy and strong, the animals are strong and eating well, their body is able to suppress the rabies virus. But once weak, their body can no longer suppress the rabies virus leading to a rabid animal. Ultimately the animal dies of the rabies virus but in doing so, the predator to prey ratio goes back into harmony allowing enough food for the remaining hunters.

The Transformation Speaks For Itself...

2010-08-19

I am writing to tell you of the transformation in my pets since they have started eating all raw meat.

I used to have to clean up cat vomit on a pretty much daily basis. Sometimes they would even vomit right into the kibble bowl. From DAY 1 on raw meat, none of my cats has vomited with two exceptions — someone fed one of the cats a piece of cooked ham, and one of them got up on the counter and ate some pancake batter. No surprise those foods made the cats sick.

They are all acting years younger. Neko (12, neutered male) has gone from hissing at everybody all the time to climbing in laps. Bitty (6, spayed female) is as playful as a kitten, and has already started losing unhealthy pudge. Ed (9, neutered male, king of the cats) is being a bit of a bully with the other cats (nobody is getting hurt) but he is being affectionate and playful with us humans.

Ed took to eating meat right away, but Bitty and Neko are still adjusting. They seem unable to believe the meat is really for them, and act like they are afraid to get caught eating it. An unexpected side benefit — I saw Neko eating a bug today. Don't worry, our home is not treated with pesticides, and that palmetto bug was a healthy snack for a too–skinny cat.

I can't thank you enough for making this information freely available. It surely leaves no doubt that your motivation is love for animals. Thank you for helping me to re–connect with my pets.

Sincerely – Virginia

My Australian Shepherd Has A Second Life – Thank You!

2008-12-16

Hello! I would like to first say Thank You for your information! My Australian Shepherd is 14 years young and was having problems walking up stairs and jumping up on the bed/couch. He was on the raw food diet for about 2 – 3 weeks when he started running up the stairs, jumping on the couch/bed. Because of his age and having such a hard time, I was preparing myself for his trip to Rainbow Bridge, feeling that it would be sooner rather than later. Now I feel the later is the best word. He is so happy, you can see it in his eyes when he is lying on the couch!! My dogs teeth have turned white! It is truly amazing! Again, Thank you!
